A misleading news item entitled ‘Transferring Rs. 10 billion from HEC’s uplift budget to recurring can resolve financial issues’ is published in a section of the press. It is clarified that the news item is factually incorrect.
There is no such proposal, as the development budget of an institution is equally important for its growth and progress. Taking money from there to fulfil recurring expenditure is an illogical solution to the problem. Such a proposal is out of the question and is an highly inappropriate suggestion.
